- ➤ Federal prosecutors charged 20 people, including 15 former college basketball players, for rigging NCAA and Chinese Basketball Association games, and the scheme involved over 29 games (one of which was at Ohio University, where no Bobcats took part). WOUB Public Media
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ In 2024, Athens used a $24,294 H2Ohio grant to buy new plows, a salt controller (adjusting salt based on road conditions), and tracking equipment to cut environmental impact. Athens County will begin a new 330-ton salt storage facility in Coolville this spring and might seek more funds for alternative deicers. Athens County Independent
