  • The Athens Planning Commission voted to recommend a zoning change that allows the 317 Board to build housing for clients on Dairy Lane near The Ridges. The group, which serves people facing behavioral health challenges, will seek a $2 million grant for funding.  Athens County Independent

HEALTH NEWS

  • Medical experts advise parents in Athens to immunize newborns as RSV cases rise across Ohio. Recommendations call for vaccination soon after birth to reduce risks with an expected increase in February — a measure to help protect vulnerable infants.  Athens County Independent

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ohio women's basketball lost to Toledo 75-66 at The Convo Saturday. Coach Boldon said the team struggled with rebounding + defense and will work on improvements in practice ahead of Wednesday's game against UMass, hoping all seven players stay healthy.  The Post
