CULTURE NEWS

  • The Athena Cinema launched a film series (Enter the Kingdom) featuring adaptations of Stephen King works and has screened films every Tuesday since Jan. 20, with showings continuing through March 31 at its 20 S. Court St. location with $8 admission.  The Post

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ohio men's basketball defeated Buffalo 95-83 on Saturday afternoon with key performances from redshirt junior Javan Simmons, who scored a career-high 24 points (and grabbed 13 rebounds), and senior Jackson Paveletzke, who recorded a double-double to help the Bobcats break their losing streak.  The Post
  • Ohio men's basketball will face Buffalo on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Alumni Arena in Buffalo. The team will seek a sweep by tightening up on rebounds and bench scoring while both squads work to reverse recent setbacks.  The Post
  • The Ohio Bobcats women's basketball team (12-7 overall) will face unbeaten Miami in the Battle of the Bricks on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Millet Hall in Oxford as they seek to rebound after two consecutive losses.  The Post
  • Ohio's wrestling team will face the Central Michigan Chippewas today at 7 p.m. ET at McGuirk Arena after a close loss to Northern Illinois, with key redshirt seniors aiming to regain momentum while CMU's senior Mason Shrader seeks to continue his strong performance.  The Post
