- ➤ Ohio University's Bobcat Baja team competed at the Baja SAE competition in Gray Court, South Carolina last fall and placed 28th among 66 teams using their 700-pound buggy Boyler — the team, now over 50 members, meets Tuesdays at ARC 221 as it prepares for the SAE Baja event in Nashport this September. - ➤ Ohio University staff member Amista Lipot was honored with the Janet and George Voinovich Faculty and Staff Leadership Award for two decades of work improving partnerships and securing funds for regional projects (including a recent $500,000 grant for the Mayors’ Partnership for Progress). - ➤ Ohio University (in Athens) students can apply for the Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholars program to gain hands-on experience in their fields; applications, which require a cover letter, resume, DARS report, and writing samples, are due by March 1. Ohio University
