- ➤ WOUB did not air the documentary 'White With Fear' (a film examining racial tensions used in politics) Tuesday night on PBS but made it available to stream online. Station officials said an internal review led them to choose programming that better served all viewers. WOUB Public Media
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Local filmmaker Robin Smith will have her documentaries 'He's Only Missing' and 'Letting Go' shown on Sunday, March 29 at Athena Cinema as part of the Ohio Goes to the Movies series. - ➤ Ohio University Music Industry Summit takes place April 14-16 on campus in Athens and will offer both in-person and free online options. Keynote artists Blood Orange, Lucius and The Crane Wives and a range of panels, workshops and concerts will provide industry insights to students and professionals. Ohio University

- ➤ OHIO’s Honors Tutorial College (HTC) was ranked 12th among the 50 Best Honors Colleges for 2026 by College Transitions. - ➤ Athens Public Transit will continue free fares through at least April 2027 on six routes thanks to a $150,000 grant that saves riders about $2 per round trip. The agency saw a 13% ridership increase last year and is improving bus shelters and stops. Athens County Independent

- ➤ Construction of two low-income housing projects in The Plains continues after an archaeological review confirmed that nearby prehistoric mounds are not at risk.
