  • Athens County Independent invites community members to join its Founders Circle by donating over three years—starting at $85 per month—to help secure local journalism’s future. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Ohioans managing food stamps, Medicaid, or childcare benefits online must now use a new OHID credential to access their accounts—state officials say the update streamlines logins and increases security. SPORTS NEWS

  • Scott Isphording, a coach with over 10 seasons with the Bobcats and former offensive coordinator from 2020 until 2023, has been named offensive coordinator by head coach Brian Smith to lead the offense as the team prepares for a historic season.
