- ➤ April will be Athens Beautification Month as residents and OU Bobcats join projects to clean up, plant trees & garden, helping to improve the town’s green spaces. A litter cleanup at Strouds Run State Park will continue on April 19 & 26 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while tree plantings will be held at Vinton Furnace State Forest on April 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 & 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Post
