- ➤ Athens hosted Ohio’s longest running marathon on Sunday morning at College Green where runners from around the country started at the corner of South College Street and East Union Street and ran a 26.2-mile course finishing at Pruitt Field. The race saw 216 full marathoners and 652 half-marathoners, with Jake Stephens finishing in 2:37:15 and Cameron Christopher in 1:09:13—showing a strong display of competition—while athletes of all levels gathered for the challenge.
