Senior pianist Alejandro Orta, originally from Venezuela, said his journey came full circle when he interviewed conductor Gustavo Dudamel as part of his senior capstone project at Ohio University.

He has won major competitions and performed at the Kennedy Center while crediting his teachers for guiding his success as he plans for future studies.

ABC 6 Chief Meteorologist Marshall McPeek recalled his busy time at WOUB at Ohio University in Athens—he worked long hours on radio and TV as a student and said this hands-on experience helped launch his career in broadcasting.

High school students who love to create media can register for a hands-on summer workshop hosted by Ohio University's Scripps College of Communication from June 25th to 29th; eligible students include those entering grades 9-12 and recent graduates seeking an on-campus experience.

Patton Center for Arts Education Monday, April 21 at 4 p.m. in McCracken Field behind Patton Hall during a public ceremony. The center, part of a renewal plan for the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts, will include a 350+ seat theater and gallery spaces and will be completed by Summer 2026 with students moving in Fall 2027.
