EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ United Academics of Ohio University filed on April 14 arguing that OU’s objections to the faculty union election are absurd and meritless because upholding them would delay unionizing efforts. SERB is set to rule today on the certification—if they dismiss the objections, unionizing will move ahead—while OU has suggested a new election if its claims are accepted. Athens County Independent

- ➤ Gov. Mike DeWine backed a child tax credit in his state budget that would give parents up to $1,000 per child until age six — his plan would raise cigarette and tobacco taxes to fund the credit.
