🏛️ Government
Gov. Mike DeWine vetoed language in the budget bill on July 4th that would have cut funds to shelters serving trans youth.
The governor said his decision would keep kids safe while advocates like Kaleidoscope Youth Center said the bill still has vague limits on how shelters can support trans youth (critics worry this may affect care).
