- ➤ On July 4, Athens unveiled its first street mural, 'The Migration,' featuring salmon swimming in a river and chosen by 3,000 voters at the intersection of East State and Watt. Muralist Wren Denny used acrylic outdoor paint while local officials said the project—led by the Pedestrian Accessibility and Bicycle Task Force—has helped reduce traffic speeds from nearly 30 mph to 25 mph. - ➤ Ohio Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Prevention and Promotion launched a training program on addiction prevention that more than 70 peer recovery supporters completed in person or online—guiding future efforts to enhance recovery services across Ohio.
