- ➤ A national report found that 62% of mayors list economic development as a top priority, and Athens Mayor Steve Patterson said housing is a key challenge for growth—using Tax Increment Financing to fund new infrastructure on green space. - ➤ Nelsonville City Council voted Monday night to repeal Issue 23—a citizen initiative to change the city's form of government—citing an unclear transition plan that risked a December lapse in government.
