  • Local leaders and dignitaries broke ground on Chauncey’s streetscape beautification project on October 3rd to create a welcoming main street for small shops and visitors. Mayor Tammy Hawk said the project will add sidewalks, decorative lighting and murals funded by a state grant — work will start next week and finish by next September.  WOUB Public Media

  • Ohio University named three faculty members newsmakers in September for their work on Chagas disease, artificial intelligence, and social media risks for youth — Mario Grijalva, Gaurav Bansal and Christine Bhat were quoted in national media — highlighting their strong contributions.  Ohio University
  • Milad Azarm, a Ph.D. student in theater arts who has lived in Athens for less than four years, is changing theater history by linking American stage shows with Iranian plays using new records. His upcoming article on Ta'ziyeh—an annual Iranian ritual drama—may change how theater history is taught.  Ohio University

  • Ohio University Football won 35-20 against Bowling Green on October 3 and now prepares for its first MAC road test against Ball State today at 12:00 p.m. in Muncie—Ball State hopes to snap a five-game losing streak to the Bobcats.  WOUB Public Media
  • Ohio Football beat Bowling Green 35-20 on Friday and now the Bobcats travel to Muncie today at 12:00 p.m.—Ball State, which has struggled with offense, aims to end a five-game losing streak against Ohio in MAC play.  WOUB Public Media
  • Ohio Soccer lost 2—0 to Ball State at Chessa Field on October 2nd when Addie Chester scored twice in the second half. The team will travel to Kent State on October 9 as Ball State meets Western Michigan on October 5.  WOUB Public Media
