- ➤ Mount Zion Black Cultural Center acquired archives from the three university centers closed by the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act—collecting posters, flags, and books to preserve local history. The center will share these materials with the public when it opens as a museum at the restored Mount Zion Baptist Church in October 2026. Athens County Independent

- ➤ Audrey Komey, an OHIO graduate and instructional designer, uses her background in city planning and environmental studies to design online courses that keep students involved at OHIO.
