BUSINESS NEWS

  • Dos Hermanos, a Columbus-based fast casual Mexican chain, opened its Athens location at 18 S. Court St. on Oct. 18. The restaurant serves daily-made Oaxacan food until 3 a.m. and employs about 30 Ohio University students—while planning to lower prices by about $2 in the coming weeks.  The Post

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Ohio University’s new South Green residence hall, McDavis Hall, is about 60% complete and will open to students in August 2026—making it the largest dorm on campus with 591 beds. Construction crews are now installing exterior masonry and windows before moving indoors to finish the building.  The Post

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Bulletin Board lists public meetings from Nov. 3 to Nov. 10 in Athens and nearby towns — covering local city, county, and township boards held in person and via livestream — with times, locations, and instructions for submitting future meeting notices.  Athens County Independent
