- ➤ Four kittens were adopted at the Find Your Purrfect Match Adoption Event held Saturday at Big Run Kava Bar on N. Court St. Feral Ladies Cat Rescue (Hocking County group) organized the event to help cats find new homes. The Post

- ➤ The Lost Flamingo Theatre Company performed its parody play 'Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic' at Arts West on November 8th to 9th, and the 13-member cast kept the audience laughing with clear, lively characters. The group will continue its season with Zoe Senese-Grossberg’s play 'Boy My Greatness' at Arts West on November 15th — tickets cost $5 cash. The Post

- ➤ Ohio University musical theater seniors performed nine songs from musicals such as A Chorus Line and Wicked on Thursday at the Kennedy Museum of Art during the Spark of Creation event—showcasing their talent in a unique museum setting. They are now preparing showcase materials that will travel to different cities for work opportunities after graduation. The Post
- ➤ The AEP Ohio Foundation renewed its support for STEM education with a $50,000 award to Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service. The funds will be used in 2026 for research, field trips and STEM activities — a continuation of a program that has already helped over 3,700 children in southeast Ohio. Ohio University
- ➤ Cale Burke, a 2021 MPA graduate from Ohio University’s Voinovich School, used his military discipline and hard work to found a recovery group during COVID-19 that set up safe, sober spaces at local festivals—he now works as a senior project manager while finishing a Ph.D. Ohio University

- ➤ Asian Lady Beetles have invaded many buildings and dorms in Athens as the cold weather sets in—residents report light bites and smelly secretions from the bugs originally brought in to control aphids.
