- ➤ The Star Chamber Arcade opened Oct. 2 on Court Street and has attracted a mix of students, families, and young children. Owner Nick Muntean said the arcade hosts community events — including game tournaments — while also selling ice cream, candy, and limited alcohol. Athens County Independent

- ➤ The Lost Flamingo Theatre Company will perform a play version of S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders at Arts West, 132 W. State St. on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.—tickets cost $5 in cash only. The Post
- ➤ Massive Hot Dog Recall, a Midwest trashcan trombone rock band from the Kent/Akron area, released their album Heavily Soiled that mixes silly humor and real musical skill on bold tracks — a review from November 19th noted the band uses playful lyrics and strong horns to create a fun twist on rock. - ➤ Ohio Athletics announced that Kenzie Brinkman became the full-time head coach of Ohio Volleyball—freshman Bailey Blair earned MAC Freshman of the Year while middle blocker Emily Waddell made the First Team All-MAC.
