- ➤ A woman working at Memorial Auditorium said she was inappropriately touched around 9:13 p.m. on April 17 when an unidentified heavy set white man—described as having short dark grey hair and facial stubble—grabbed her left breast, and the Ohio University Police Department has not found him. - ➤ Terry Moore, a 1970 graduate in the Bachelor of General Studies program, was presented with University College’s Outstanding Alumnus of the Year Award on April 15th at the spring awards banquet—recognizing his lifelong dedication to education and the Ohio Fellows Program. Ohio University
- ➤ After winning a vote with over 70 percent support, the new faculty union at Ohio University said it followed the law by holding members-only meetings before the election—one meeting provided a negotiation update and the other split discussions between internal business and open election issues. - ➤ Athens attorney Jesse Branner Hittle argued before a state appeals court on Thursday that the city’s plastic bag ban, which stops merchants from giving out bags, properly uses its home rule.
